"Humidity", acrylic on wooden panel, 5x7 inch. I feel content taking Mindy Lacefield's class.   Learning from how she works out primitive portraits with mixed media is indeed an enjoyment.  Moreover, it really lead you to explore your own character and expression.  You would probably not even realize that throughout the process but can definitely be surprised and discover it as reward and prize for yourself.  Other than the interesting faces I created with the class, I also got to enjoy mixing vibrant colors fearlessly which actually turned out amazing.

The picture was done after my being lazy for quite a while.  I was trying to draw this flower in colors combination that I rarely use or am not too comfortable with.  Cool color tone is always challenging for me.

© Amy Noel 2012 I missed working with my color pencils on those flower faces.  This weekend I was finally a little bit satisfied after drawing this picture. Actually my scanner did not do its job good enough.  The background turned out yellowish.  Well, until I find a good model of scanner, that is it.  (Anyone has recommandation about a good printer/scanner, by the way?) When I was drawing it, I felt that the bud was like gesturing as a prayer. However the wind somehow interrupted her.  She lifted up her head and hoped the prayers were well heard by being brought up and high enough.  I shall keep drawing more. 想念用色鉛筆畫花的臉龐，於是週末終於滿足地畫了一張。 我的掃描機其實效果不太好，背景掃出來偏黃了，不過，在找到好的掃描機前，也只好這樣。（對了，有人可以推薦我好用的印表機/掃描機嗎？） 在畫這張的畫時候，感覺到花苞姿態就像在禱告，但一陣風無端地打斷了禱告，她抬起頭希望著禱告被帶得夠遠夠高，能完完全全被聽到。 還要再多畫些。
