Handmade Bookmark
I just love flowers and enjoy the exploring different types of imaginary flowers. The paper I use is thick and acid-free watercolor paper, which makes it stiffer for use. The media I use include watercolor, gesso and pencil. When it's finished, I coat it with fix spray.
This is the first set I made. I had fun. Then I tried to make another set with gel transfer technique on same a watercolor base (apply gell when it is dry of course). And now, I am seeking to make more with new ideas. I hope to come up with something special in coloring or texture. I really like to play with texture.
最近做了ㄧ些手製書籤，圖案風格受到Carla Sonheim老師線上的flower crazy課程啟發。我很喜歡花， 而且很享受繪製想像出的各種花朵的過程，書籤是以厚磅無酸進口水彩紙，手感厚實，然後以水彩、壓克力打底劑跟鉛筆來畫，最後再用噴膠定稿。上圖是第一組完成的花書籤，製作過程很有趣，然後又開始第二組，在同樣的水彩打底乾了之後，用無酸樹脂轉印法來做效果。我還在尋找更多特別的技法，如配色或質感上來做書籤，我很喜試一些質感的做法。
Then I made my own rubber stamp. Each of the bookmarks carry the stamp marks on the back and my signature. It makes the piece complete that way, I think.
I am not good at cutting and carving on the rubber but the result was alright and I am happy. It's really a sense of "handmade" with the imperfect edges of the characters.
They will be for sale in September join exhibition. I hope someone will like it.
然後我動手刻了橡皮印章，每一個書籤後面都會蓋印簽名，這樣作品就完成了。
其實不是很會刻章，不過刻出來的成果還不錯，感覺很滿足，那些印出來的字不完美的線條，就讓整個作品更有了手製感。
九月的聯展將會展售，希望大家喜歡。
